We are in this world, this life, this heartbeat, this hardship and this era together. Experiencing lock down and isolation by force has marked humanity immensely in 2020 in a collective experience. Transforming into a network and connection economy is slowly becoming a new norm. It’s who you know that makes you grow. I believe in this and it suits the world nicely to embrace how much it matters that we care for one another across borders and barriers to overcome darkness.
2020 growth
The number of new networks, communities, units and groups that were established during 2020 is explosive. Platforms around little businesses and network marketing grew; humanitarian societies and organizations expanded and became more visible in local societies. Fundraising, charity, shelters, food stations, voluntary efforts grew in width and depth. Spiritual circles multiplied; many new online yoga channels saw the light of day; online meditations in large groups created “human-hood” in stillness and depth. And many, many more.
Networking & Communities
Networking has been on my radar all life. I grew up in a large family and became used to think “we” at a very early point in life. To contribute and serve, to lend a helping hand and offer support. I guess what took the longest time for me to learn over the years, was to filter out the ”I” from the ”we”. The quote by Helen Keller: ”alone we can do so little and together we can do so much” resonates beautifully within me. However, the power of networking and communities grows so much stronger when the individual capabilities come into play in the long run. It is paramount to invest time in searching the market for areas of your interest and elements of your life arena that you want to expand, improve, grow and/or explore. By being mindful of which of our own competences and values we can extend to help the network and community grow, we actually help ourselves become more aware of our strengths.
#BLTS
During these past couple of years, being in my new home in Las Vegas while my husband has been to work, I have been attracted to and become member of new communities. I have found precious new horizons with heart-to-heart connections with like-minded people. We grow together with and because of our individual uniqueness and through a fundament of
BLTS: Belonging, Love, Trust, Safety.
My communities
In this section, I will show you some of the communities I am part of that have helped me see more clearly what I am passionate about as well as capable of and where I can make a difference. It’s a broad variety from women and sisterhood, Google mapping of my brains (expression by Tom Chenault), entrepreneurship, living abroad, Danes in the US, love, partnership and sex, etc.. It keeps expanding as I keep developing. And so do you!
Let yourself inspire and perhaps you might even want to join some of the communities that I’m part of, who knows.
